SUCCESS is never down to one individual but every member of a team doing their job and that’s exactly what led the Brothers under-15 boys to grand final glory.

Brothers beat Edmonton Storm 22-12 on Saturday after falling just short in the past two seasons.

Brothers under-15 coach and junior president Paul Callaghan said after missing out as under-13s and under-14s, he was glad their time in the sun had come.

“This year they were ready to go. A bit of redemption for themselves,” he said.

Brothers’ under-16 win was also a massive coup after the team finished bottom of the ladder the previous season and Callaghan lauded the turnaround from the players.

“The 16s was a great win for Brothers. Cellar dwellers last year, a new coach (Paul Stevens) on board and the players bought into his style of coaching, which was great,” he said.

Brothers under-14s were unlucky not to make it a third on Saturday, going down in extra time.

Callaghan said 2017 was a “fantastic year across the board” and felt Brothers’ juniors had a bright future under its club-first family orientated ethos.
