BROTHERS STORM OVER EDMONTON

Week 2 of the Cairns District Junior Rugby League trials period had the club travel to Edmonton to meet the Storm across most grades, with the U/15 and U/16 sides playing Friday night at Jones Park.
The first ever hitout for the under 6 side had some interesting moments, with length of the field tries, running in the wrong direction, and some beautfiel cover defence the order of the day.
The Under 7's, 8's and 9's played wonderfully whilst the under 10's and under 12's battled fiercely in the oppressive heat.
Our under 13 side has had a renaissance of sorts with strong numbers allowing the team to skip to a comfotable win against the Storm.
The under 14 side has put their best foot forward by edging out both Ivanhoes and Storm in a 3-way battle at the weekend. Xavier Nicol, Dmitri Ahwang and Jonah Dalgety particularly strong.
On Friday night, improved showings by both the Under 15's and under 16's had improved showings to continue building the players' confidence as we move toward the season proper
