WET AND WILD WEEK 1 OF TRIALS

The opening round of pre-season trial matches got underway at the weekend for the CDJRL clubs.
Travelling to Suburbs for the round, Brothers teams braved torrential rain on Saturday to get their first matches under their belts. The Mini and Mod age groups enjoyed themselves immensely with many a proud parent cheering them on.
In the competitive age groups, the under 15 side was merged with the undere 16 team due to an issue with player numbers. A highly competitive performance indicated a season of improvemnt lies ahead for the boys.
The Under 13 side also went toe-to-toe with a well drilled Cockatoos outfit before going down narrowly. Again, the improvement that lies within the players is a great positive as we move forward.
Unfortunatley due to the rain, the under 14 clash at Jones Park on Friday night was cancelled, leaving them to wait another week to get onto the paddock. Next week all teams will travel to Edmonton for week 2 of trials, with only the Under 15 and Under 16 teams playing Friday night at Jones Park.
