Brothers have strengthened the problematic halves equation with the acquisition of former Melbourne Storm U/20 player and Northern Pride train and triallist George Cook from Mareeba Gladiators.
Living in Cairns and looking to limit the travel required playing for the Gladiators, House will provide the Brethren with a quality ball player who provides direction and possesses a solid kicking game. Coach Robbie Swain had flagged the halves as an area of concern with Evan Child’s promotion to Northern Pride ‘U/20’s, and the signing of House just a week out from the season opener against Mossman Sharks is a timely boost.
House would like to extend heartfelt thanks the Mareeba club for understanding his situation and providing a timely clearance.
